1.Don’t brush your hair

Everyone knows that it is never a good idea to brush curly hair because your curls will lose all their definition, immediately. Brushing your hair is not all evil though. It’s good to have a deep detangling session at least once a month, but if you wake up in the morning and brush your hair that’s why you are struggling. Put the brush down and let your hair be! Take knots apart with your fingers instead.

2.Shampooing too often

Have you heard of the “no-poo” movement? Well, it was made for you. Remy Brazilian Curly hair weave doesn’t allow the natural lipids to move down the hair shaft, making textured locks more dry by nature. Throw chronic shampooing into the mix and you've got a recipe for frazzled, parched hair.

3.Using High Heat

For any type of hair, applying high heat from a blow dryer, hot iron, or curling wand leads to dryness and frizz. With curly hair, the effect is exponentially worse. Use these tools as little as you can, and always on the lowest setting.

4.Using styling gel incorrectly

When the hair is almost dry or not using enough. Use it right after towel drying your hair and use enough to coat all the curls uniformly. It will be crunchy but that’s normal while it’s drying. The cast of the gel will be broken later and there will be no more crunchiness. Again, make sure you scrunch the styling gel into your hair, not run your fingers through your hair.

5.Don't mindlessly buy products

This may sound shocking, but just because a bottle says, “For curly hair” does not mean it is for curly hair. If your natural virgin hair weave is dry and frizzy, you need to pay closer attention to what you are using--and it’s all in the ingredients. Many shampoos and conditioners contain sulfates and silicones which strip the hair of the natural oil our body produces called sebum. Buying sulfate free and silicone free products will allow your body to keep its sebum thus helping to add moisture and definition to your hair.

6.Using a Flat Iron on Wet hair

It may help speed up the process of turning curls into sleek lengths, but it’s seriously damaging. When you see steam coming off the hair the flat iron is too hot and you’re burning hair fibers. Damaged hair is more frizzy and uncontrollability so holds off until completely dry.

7. Sleeping without Protection

You can save your style from bedhead and frizz by sleeping with your hair in a pineapple (a popular curly hair technique). Also, a silk or satin pillowcase is another way to ensure that your beauty rest doesn’t disrupt your curls. The slippery surface doesn’t agitate the hair like cotton. Finally, make sure your hair is completely dry before you call it a night; wet hair is vulnerable to breakage when you toss and turn.

Well, my sharing is ending. I hope it is the value of you which could make you begin your healthy curly hair journey. Having a good day.
